New Jersey Supreme Court Certified Workers’ Compensation Law Attorney

James DeBenedett, Esq., a solo practitioner in Wall Township, recently became certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Workers’ Compensation Law Attorney. A New Jersey attorney who is certified by the Supreme Court as a workers’ compensation law attorney must have been a member in good standing of the New Jersey bar for over 5 years; fulfilled ongoing continuing legal education requirements; demonstrated a substantial level of experience in workers’ compensation law; been favorably evaluated by other attorneys and judges familiar with his or her work and taken and passed a written examination in workers’ compensation law.

According to the Supreme Court of New Jersey Board on Attorney Certification, less than 3 percent of the attorneys licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey are Board certified. In addition, there are less than 100 Board certified workers' compensation law attorneys statewide.

Mr. DeBenedett is a graduate of Verona High School, University of Delaware, Quinnipiac University School of Law and has been in practice for over 20 years. He is past co-chair of the Monmouth County Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Committee, a member of the Justice James H. Coleman, Jr. New Jersey Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court and an Attorney Vice President of the New Jersey Advisory Council on Safety and Health.

Mr. DeBenedett resides in Point Pleasant Beach with his wife Elaine and two sons, Owen (10) and Luke (7).
